Virtual Cable Television HDi
January 2009 FilmOn.com launched its much anticipated HDi Broadband, high definition video for broadband TV with no set top box required. The service is live and currently in Beta, delivering true HDi video streams at less than 1Mbps to the end user.
Later in 2009 the company promises to deliver HDi transmissions at 500 kbps. HDi is high-resolution non-buffering video broadcast, which can be viewed on the PCs, mobile phones and TVs, across traditional broadband connections and 2G and 3G connections.
